Volleyball Game Preview: Jacksonville Cardinals vs. Northern Durham Knights

The Jacksonville Cardinals will face off against the Northern Durham Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northern Durham took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Jacksonville, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Jacksonville turned things around against White Oak on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 3-0 win.

Jacksonville not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept White Oak between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Northern Durham didn't have quite enough to beat Riverside-Durham on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Northern Durham took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 18-25, 25-20, 15-4.

Northern Durham has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Jacksonville, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 7-13.
