Onaway has no trouble against Inland Lakes

In what's become a running theme this season, the Onaway Cardinals gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 62-42 margin over Inland Lakes. The victory was familiar territory for Onaway who now have five in a row.

Despite the loss, Inland Lakes still got an impressive performance from Sam Schoonmaker, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Connor Wallace, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.

Onaway is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Inland Lakes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-8.

Onaway will head out on the road to take on Mancelona at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Onaway knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully Mancelona likes a good challenge. As for Inland Lakes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alpena at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Michigan (Inland Lakes is ranked 438th, while Alpena is ranked 431st).
