Softball Recap: Marshalltown Has No Trouble Against South Hardin

The matchup between Marshalltown and South Hardin on Saturday hardly resembled the 3-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Bobcats blew past the Tigers 14-5. Considering the Bobcats have won five matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Marshalltown and bumps their season record up to 6-10. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-12 South Hardin and 3-12 AGWSR. As for South Hardin, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Marshalltown will head out on the road to challenge Des Moines North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Hardin, they will welcome AGWSR at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
