Soccer Game Preview: Tatnall vs. Wilmington Friends

Tatnall is 2-8 against Wilmington Friends since October of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Hornets will head out to face off against the Quakers at 12:00 p.m. Tatnall has given up an average of 4.3 goals per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tatnall managed to slip by Appoquinimink the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hornets lost 5-0 to the Jaguars on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Tatnall can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Delaware soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Appoquinimink are ranked seventh).

Meanwhile, Wilmington Friends narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past ASPIRA Charter 3-2.

Wilmington Friends' victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Tatnall, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
