Rosepine had already won 19 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.1 points) and they went ahead and made it 20 on Friday. They beat the Vinton Lions by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 75-69. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Lions are ranked 208th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rosepine pushed their record up to 23-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.1 points per game. As for Vinton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-15.

Rosepine will square off against DeQuincy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rosepine knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 22 games -- so hopefully DeQuincy likes a good challenge. As for Vinton, they will head out to take on South Cameron at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Vinton is facing South Cameron at the right time seeing as South Cameron is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
