Baseball Game Preview: Raritan Rockets vs. Freehold Boro Colonials

For the second straight game, Raritan will face off against Freehold Boro. The Rockets will head out on the road to square off against the Colonials at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Raritan's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Freehold Boro's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Raritan is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Freehold Boro 11-2 on Tuesday. The Rockets haven't had any issues with the Colonials recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Raritan got a massive performance out of James Nichols, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Nichols has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alan Warren, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Raritan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Freehold Boro has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Raritan, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
