Basketball Game Preview: Jonesport-Beals Royals vs. Narraguagus Knights

Jonesport-Beals is 2-8 against Narraguagus since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Jonesport-Beals Royals will head out to face off against the Narraguagus Knights at 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Jonesport-Beals lost to Calais at home by a 39-24 margin. The matchup marked the Royals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Narraguagus can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They snuck past Sumner with a 63-59 victory.

This is the second loss in a row for Jonesport-Beals and nudges their season record down to 6-9. As for Narraguagus, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.

Jonesport-Beals was able to grind out a solid victory over Narraguagus when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 57-48. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Narraguagus' Eden Fraser, who almost dropped a triple-double on 22 points, nine rebounds, and nine steals. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Jonesport-Beals still be able to contain Fraser? There's only one way to find out.
