Volleyball Recap: Wake Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Garner + How To Watch

Wake Christian Academy won the last time they faced Garner and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 26-24, 25-23.

Wake Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Evann Curry, who had 20 digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Lydia Deans, who hit 55.6% for 11 kills and 15 digs and six aces.

Wake Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 13 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Wake Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Garner, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wake Christian Academy will face off against Providence Day at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Garner, they will venture away from home to square off against Corinth Holders at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
