Baseball Recap: Southridge Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Southridge's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Evansville Central Bears on Saturday. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 7-4 to the Bears when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Southridge's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Evansville Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-17 record this season.

Southridge and Evansville Central are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Raiders will square off against Princeton at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Southridge's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Evansville Central, they will host Evansville Reitz at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
