Basketball Game Preview: North Ridgeville Rangers vs. Brunswick Blue Devils

The North Ridgeville Rangers and the Brunswick Blue Devils will round out the year against one another at at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. North Ridgeville is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, North Ridgeville came up short against Westlake and fell 72-64.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brunswick, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 71-50 margin over Buckeye on Tuesday. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Bucks are ranked 353rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brunswick's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.2 points per game. As for North Ridgeville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

North Ridgeville came up short against Brunswick in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 77-73. Can North Ridgeville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
