            Football Recap: Scottsdale Preparatory Academy Spartans vs. Willcox Cowboys        
        
		
        
        
            Scottsdale Preparatory Academy was the  27-21 winner over Willcox when they last played one another  back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans were beaten by the Cowboys 48-14 on Friday.
 Despite the  defeat, Scottsdale Preparatory Academy had strong showings from  Will Ryken, who rushed for 38 yards and a pair of  touchdowns, and  Braxton Whittington, who picked up 142 receiving yards. Whittington also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass.
  Kaleb Cooke was nothing short of spectacular for Willcox: he rushed for 173 yards while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. Those  173  rushing yards gave  Cooke a new career-high. Willcox also got a significant boost from  Asher Ward, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 119 yards.
Scottsdale Preparatory Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Willcox, their victory was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 5-1.
 Scottsdale Preparatory Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  49-0  win against Madison Highland Prep on the 3rd. As for Willcox, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  58-0  victory against Desert Christian on the 3rd.
