Baseball Recap: Sandalwood Has No Trouble Against Hilliard

While Sandalwood put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Hilliard. The Sandalwood Saints blew past the Hilliard Red Flashes 10-0. The match marked the Saints' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Bryce Foster tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Trent Baskins, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Dennis, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Sandalwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

The win got Sandalwood back to even at 4-4. As for Hilliard, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Coincidentally, Sandalwood and Hilliard will both be playing Baker County the next time they take the field. Hilliard will host Baker County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Sandalwood will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
