Basketball Recap: Perry Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

It's playoff time, and Perry had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Solon Comets by a score of 53-40 on Wednesday. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Comets are ranked 339th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Perry now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Solon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-18.

Coming up, Perry will face off against Wadsworth at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wadsworth will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Perry surely won't give up without a fight. Solon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
