Allie Grooms posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
