Softball Recap: Valley Head Takes a Loss

Valley Head lost against Anniston back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tigers took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Valley Head saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Coffman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that Coffman snagged this season. Raegan Key was another, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Valley Head's loss dropped their record down to 7-19-2. As for Anniston, they moved to 3-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Valley Head beat the Bulldogs by a score of 14-7 later that day.
