In other batting news, Tottenville got a massive performance out of Mia Rocha, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Rocha a new career-high. Meanwhile, Wagner made easy work of Curtis on Monday and carried off a 14-5 win. Considering the Falcons have won nine matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Wagner's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Tottenville, their record is now 10-1.
Tottenville took their victory against Wagner when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 10-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
