White Plains barely beat Hokes Bluff the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. White Plains' pitchers stepped up to hand Hokes Bluff a 12-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

White Plains is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Hokes Bluff dropped their record down to 13-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, White Plains will take on Gulf Shores at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (White Plains 3.8, Gulf Shores 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Hokes Bluff, they will be taking part in a tournament against Oxford at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
