Football Recap: Howell North Comes Up Short

Howell North lost against Troy-Buchanan back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Knights were dealt a 73-6 defeat at the hands of the Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Trojans are ranked 34th).

Howell North's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Troy-Buchanan, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Howell North will take on Fort Zumwalt East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Troy-Buchanan, they will challenge Battle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.63 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
