Volleyball Recap: Sotomayor Comes Up Short

Sotomayor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McAllen Memorial Mustangs.

Despite the loss, Sotomayor saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Marina Soliz had eight digs and one assist.

Sotomayor's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for McAllen Memorial, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Sotomayor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Alamo Heights on the 23rd. As for McAllen Memorial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against United on the 23rd.
