Triangle Math & Science has no trouble against Eno River

The Triangle Math & Science Tigers had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They rang in the new year with a 57-44 victory over Eno River on Wednesday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Triangle Math & Science has managed all season.

Among those leading the charge was Ayman Idrissi, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jailen Hawkins , who scored five points.

When it comes to explaining why Eno River lost, one person who can't be blamed is Corey Amyot. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with six rebounds.

Triangle Math & Science's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10. As for Eno River, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triangle Math & Science's road trip will continue as they head out to face River Mill at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Hopefully River Mill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday. As for Eno River, they will head out on the road to face off against Henderson Collegiate at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Henderson Collegiate is ranked 611th, while Eno River is ranked 613th).
