Wes-Del is 0-6 against Knightstown since May of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Warriors will take on the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Wes-Del will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
Wes-Del will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Cowan, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Warriors put the hurt on the Blackhawks with a sharp 9-1 win on Wednesday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Bailee West spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Wes-Del let Kenzie Anderson and Marley Bertram run wild. Anderson went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Bertram went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ansley Draper, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Wes-Del kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Knightstown made sure to put some runs up on the board against North Decatur on Wednesday. The Panthers came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 12-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
Mae Hersberger made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). Hersberger was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dylan Fausnaugh, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Lanee Swindell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Wes-Del's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Knightstown, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Wes-Del has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Knightstown struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Wes-Del suffered a grim 12-5 defeat to Knightstown in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
