Basketball Recap: Myles Wainwright Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Ayala

Walnut won the last time they faced Ayala and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Walnut Mustangs put the hurt on the Ayala Bulldogs with a sharp 64-43 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Walnut's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Myles Wainwright, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 16 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Leon, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Walnut's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Ayala, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season.

Walnut will take on Bonita at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bonita will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Walnut surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ayala, they will square off against Diamond Bar at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
