Recap: Pahokee Blue Devils vs. Atlantic Christian Sharks
The Pahokee Blue Devils suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 69-22 defeat at the hands of Atlantic Christian. While losing is never fun, Pahokee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 697th, while Atlantic Christian is ranked 205th).
Despite the loss, Pahokee saw an underclassman step up: Javian Jones scored ten points.
Pahokee has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Atlantic Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pahokee will take on Leonard at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Leonard focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Friday. As for Atlantic Christian, they will be playing at home against Park Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Park Vista has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
