Baseball Recap: Ingraham Rams vs. Roosevelt Roughriders
While Ingraham didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Roosevelt Roughriders by a score of 5-1 on Monday. The five-run effort marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Takeshi Malady tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Bryce Campbell was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Holmes, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
