Volleyball Recap: Roy/Mosquero Comes Up Short

Roy/Mosquero entered their contest against Springer on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Blue/Lady Blue fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 3-2. The Blue/Lady Blue were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Red Devils earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Roy/Mosquero took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 19-25, 22-25, 25-18, 15-10.

Roy/Mosquero's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Springer, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Roy/Mosquero has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Wagon Mound on the 20th. As for Springer, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Maxwell on the 21st.
