Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Bryce Uyesato and Daniel Hoang Lead Greenway to Victory

Greenway posted their closest victory since March 8, 2024 on Thursday. They skirted past the Peoria Panthers 3-2.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Greenway who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-12, 23-25, 25-18, 24-26, 16-14.

Greenway was led to victory by Daniel Hoang and Bryce Uyesato. Hoang had 48 assists and 14 digs, while Uyesato had 14 digs and five aces.

They weren't the only good server: Greenway was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in February of 2024.

The win got Greenway back to even at 1-1. As for Peoria, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenway will challenge Washington at 6:00 p.m. on March 13th. As for Peoria, they will square off against St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
