Rancho Bernardo is 9-1 against Mt. Carmel since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Broncos will challenge the Sundevils at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Meanwhile, Mt. Carmel came up short against Mission Vista on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Sundevils in their meetings with Mission Vista: they've now lost three in a row.

Mt. Carmel started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-18.

Mt. Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Rancho Bernardo, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 7-5.

Rancho Bernardo couldn't quite get it done against Mt. Carmel when the teams last played back in August as they fell 2-0. Can the Broncos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
