Baseball Recap: Pensacola Comes Up Short

Pensacola fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Santa Rosa Christian on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of Santa Rosa Christian by a score of 2-1. The Tigers were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but Santa Rosa Christian's pitchers proved too tough.

Pensacola saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amilliyun Foster, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pensacola will welcome East Hill Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pensacola is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.5 runs per game this season. As for Santa Rosa Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Central will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Santa Rosa Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
