Volleyball Recap: Kenzie Ogden Key Part of Team Effort in Redskins Win

Pocahontas won the last time they faced Highland and Brenley Shoe did her part to make sure it happened again. The Redskins came out on top against the Rebels by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Shoe, who had 42 digs. Shoe is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Pocahontas had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-21.

Pocahontas' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenzie Ogden, who had 12 digs and six aces. With that strong performance, Ogden is now averaging an impressive 12.1 assists per game. Another player making a difference was Jacalyn Chester, who had 13 digs, 11 kills, and one block.

Pocahontas' victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Highland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14-1 record this season.
