It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sioux City East had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Lewis Central Titans by a score of 5-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-7 back in June.

Sioux City East pushed their record up to 28-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lewis Central, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 27-9.
