Basketball Game Preview: South Prairie/Max vs. Bottineau Braves/Stars

South Prairie/Max will head out on the road to face off against the Bottineau Braves/Stars at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, South Prairie/Max was able to grind out a solid victory over Dunseith, taking the game 63-52. The win made it back-to-back victories for South Prairie/Max.

Meanwhile, Bottineau posted their biggest win since February 13, 2024 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Nedrose with a sharp 74-51 victory.

South Prairie/Max is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Bottineau, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

South Prairie/Max came up short against Bottineau in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, falling 61-51. Can South Prairie/Max avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
