Baseball Recap: Williams Finds Home Field Redemption Against Ray

There's no place like home for Williams, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Ray Bearcats on Saturday. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bearcats, too.

Mario Pedraza made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, Jack Dent was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aiden Uebel, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Williams is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Ray, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-14-1.

As of now, neither Williams nor the Bearcats have any future games scheduled.
