Preview: Ropes Eagles vs. Sundown Roughnecks
Ropes has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Sundown Roughnecks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Tuesday, Ropes ended up a good deal behind New Home and lost 53-38. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ropes in their matchups with New Home: they've now lost eight in a row.
Meanwhile, Sundown was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 50-44 to Plains.
Sundown's defeat came about despite a quality game from Allie McCormick, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 steals. That was a full 65.9% of Sundown's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yaya Lopez, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Ropes' loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Sundown, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12.
