Basketball Recap: Sterling Heights' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Sterling Heights came into Friday's contest having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 63-56 victory over the Eastpointe Shamrocks on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Stallions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sterling Heights' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Eastpointe, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sterling Heights will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Clintondale at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Eastpointe will take on Ecorse in a holiday battle at at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
