Basketball Recap: Fredonia Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Fredonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 61-52 to the Buffalo Academy of Science Wolverines. The Hillbillies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Several Hillbillies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rj Koopman, who went 5 for 6 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Putney, who posted 12 points.

Fredonia's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3. As for Buffalo Academy of Science, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Fredonia and The Park School of Buffalo will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Buffalo Academy of Science and Charter School for Applied Tech will round out the year against one another at on Friday.
