Basketball Recap: Collinsville Comes Up Short

Collinsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Alton Redbirds 67-27. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redbirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-17 back in January.

Collinsville's loss dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Alton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 28-2.

Collinsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alton, they will take on Granite City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Alton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
