Softball Recap: Ludington Comes Up Short

Ludington lost to Fruitport on Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Orioles lost 12-1 to the Trojans. The Orioles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ludington's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Fruitport, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Ludington is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Grosse Pointe South at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Fruitport, they will challenge Mona Shores at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sailors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
