Balboa not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 17, 2024. They put the hurt on the Jefferson Grizzlies with a sharp 3-0 win.

Balboa was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 25-21.

Wyatt Jiang paced Balboa's offense, picking up nine kills. Jiang got some help from Nolan Phan and his 37 assists. Phan was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

Balboa's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Jefferson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Balboa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Sequoia on the 15th. As for Jefferson, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Carmel on the 15th.
