Preston hadn't done well against Hedgesville recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Knights slipped by the Eagles 61-60. The victory was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Preston got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aidan Schmidl out in front who shot 71% from the field en route to 16 points and three steals. Schmidl is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 55% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Easton Hayes, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 13 points along with five boards and three steals.

Preston picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-18. As for Hedgesville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Preston will host Wheeling Park at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hedgesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
