Volleyball Game Preview: Grandville Bulldogs vs. Hudsonville Eagles + Official Tickets

Grandville is 0-10 against Hudsonville since October of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Grandville will be strutting in after a victory while Hudsonville will be coming in after a defeat.

Grandville took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on East Kentwood with a sharp 3-0 win. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Grandville's got stronger as the match went on, holding East Kentwood to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-12, 25-5.

Meanwhile, Hudsonville faced Rockford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost three in a row.

Hudsonville started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-15.

Hudsonville's defeat dropped their record down to 29-9-1. As for Grandville, their win bumped their record up to 14-17-1.

Grandville suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Hudsonville in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
