Football Recap: Savannah Bluejackets vs. Jenkins County War Eagles

Savannah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The game between the Bluejackets and the Jenkins County War Eagles didn't end well, with the Bluejackets falling 27-8. The Bluejackets lost against the War Eagles in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 48-0 score last time.

Romelo Milton threw for 169 yards and one touchdown. Martrell Mitchell was his top target, picking up 62 receiving yards. On the ground, Eli Frieson rushed for 62 yards.

Savannah's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Jenkins County, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-4.

Savannah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jenkins County, after each having a week off, they and Wilkinson County will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th.
