Basketball Recap: Temple Christian Falls Despite Big Games from Emmett Dyson and Jessie Dejesus

Temple Christian lost against Trinity Christian back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Temple Christian Eagles took a 71-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Christian Eagles. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (60), Temple Christian still had to take the loss.

Temple Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jessie Dejesus, who went 9 of 20 on his way to 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals, and Emmett Dyson, who went 9 for 12 en route to 24 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Dyson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadent Mcgraw, who posted five points.

Temple Christian moved to 11-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Trinity Christian, the win was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-2.

Temple Christian has already played their next match, a 63-25 victory against Trinity on the 17th. Trinity Christian has also already played their next contest (against Midland Classical Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
