Ripon is 8-1 against Livingston since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Indians will face off against the Wolves at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Ripon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Woodland Christian. The Indians are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight.

Angelina Martinez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Izabelle Spurzem, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Addison Naranjo, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.
Ripon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woodland Christian only managed six hits.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last match, Livingston made sure to put some runs up on the board against Venture Academy on Wednesday. The Wolves put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 11-3 victory.
Elizabeth Avila was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Zazueta, who went 3-for-4 with three runs.
Livingston is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Ripon, they pushed their record up to 19-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Livingston's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Ripon has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Livingston, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will Ripon keep running through batters, or will the Wolves buck the trend?
Ripon might still be hurting after the 16-6 loss they got from Livingston when the teams last played back in March. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
