Basketball Recap: High Point Comes Up Short

High Point lost against Wallkill Valley on January 6th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The High Point Wildcats came up short against the Wallkill Valley Rangers, falling 78-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered against the Rangers since December 17, 2021.

High Point has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Wallkill Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. High Point has already played their next contest (against Lenape Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wallkill Valley is taking a road trip to challenge Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Vernon has won three straight at home, while Wallkill Valley won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
