Basketball Preview: Warsaw Wildcats vs. Stover Bulldogs
The Warsaw Wildcats will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Stover Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Warsaw is out to stop a eight-game streak of losses at home.
Last Thursday, Warsaw took a serious blow against the Bulldogs, falling 68-41. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Warsaw in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite their defeat, Warsaw saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Logan Gemes, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Poyser, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Stover unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 62-51 to Sacred Heart.
Warsaw's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Stover, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.
