Softball Recap: Oak Harbor Comes Up Short

Oak Harbor lost to Snohomish back in March of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wildcats lost 17-6 to the Panthers.

Layla Suto and Reese Wasinger did some serious damage despite the final result: Suto went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Wasinger went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was Wasinger's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Gracelyn Wallin, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Oak Harbor has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Snohomish, their victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Oak Harbor has already played their next matchup, a 9-8 defeat against Nooksack Valley on the 31st. As for Snohomish, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-0 win against Meadowdale on the 30th.
