Volleyball Recap: Mountain View Mountain Lions vs. Maricopa Rams
Mountain View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Maricopa Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mountain Lions of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2014.
While Mountain View was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the 0th set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 25-13.
Annie Chavez was nothing short of spectacular for Maricopa: she had 27 digs. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: Chavez now had 16 or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.
Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Maricopa, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Mountain View will challenge Cicero Prep Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maricopa, they will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Williams Field at 10:00 a.m. Williams Field will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Maricopa surely won't give up without a fight.
