The Kennedy Commanders will square off against the Lincoln Lancers at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Kennedy comes in on three and Lincoln on four.
Kennedy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Denver West with a sharp 16-8 victory on Tuesday.

Xavier Benavidez was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. He is becoming a predictor of Kennedy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 5-7 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Damian Ortiz, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.
Kennedy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They are 7-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Lincoln made easy work of Manual on Tuesday and carried off a 10-1 win. Considering the Lancers have won ten matches by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Gio Castro made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Sam Trujillo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. Carlos Gonzales was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Lincoln's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Kennedy, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Kennedy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .524. However, it's not like Lincoln struggles in that department as they've averaged .526. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
