Volleyball Recap: Altamont Longhorns vs. St. Joseph Jayhawks

Altamont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Joseph Jayhawks. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Jayhawks this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss back in September.

Reaylee Stevenson paced Altamont's offense, picking up three kills. Stevenson got some help from Lauren Thacker and her five assists. Hazlie Bagley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Sophie Yates was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Altamont's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for St. Joseph, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.
