Oceanside had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 9-19 to make it five. They came up short against the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns, falling 8-1. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Longhorns earlier this season, when they won 6-3.
